We first met Kidd Chen when he was door-knocking in our neighbourhood. It was perfect timing because we had recently bought an EC and knew we would eventually need to sell our DBSS flat before the EC reached TOP. However, we weren't sure about the timeline or how everything would work. During our conversation, Kidd patiently explained the entire process, from when we should start marketing our flat, when the sale proceeds would be needed for the EC, and how to plan the timeline to avoid unnecessary stress or financial issues. Alan in my view, went above and beyond what was expected, and took the initiative to let me know what was to be expected and what was to be prepared for, throughout the entire purchasing process. Without him, frankly the entire process would not have gone as smoothly (for example, incorrect details on the cashiers order I purchased but he checked it and I managed to fix it before I left the bank). My selling agent was engaged before I found Alan otherwise I would have also engaged him. Even though he was not involved in my sale, he was very gracious in offering his views and help (without being compensated) even though there was no need for him to help especially since he had already closed the purchase for me. Beyond all that - the most important thing was he found me a place which would otherwise never have landed on my radar because I had very specific criteria and the available options frankly were limited. He was very patient and convinced me to take a shot and look at something which was in a location I never considered and it actually worked. I think this was the most value add a property agent can give because if left to my own devices I would not know where to look beyond my very limited criteria (where clearly nothing was available as I had already spent months looking and came up with nothing)
